Binding Sounds to Keys
Every key on your keyboard can be mapped to one or more sounds.
How to Bind
- Click a key tile in the Keyboard view (or press an unbound key) to select it
- The Key Settings panel opens on the right
- Choose one of three options:
Add Audio File
Click "Click to browse" to select an audio file from your computer. Supported formats include MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, FLAC, AAC, OPUS, and WEBM.
Built-in Synth Sounds
Click "Built-in Sounds" to choose from pre-loaded synthesizer sounds:
- Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat
- Laser, Coin
- Synth1, Synth2
- White Noise
These are generated mathematically and take no storage space.
AI Sound Generation
Click "Generate with AI" to create custom sounds using the ElevenLabs API. See AI Sound Generation for setup details.
Multiple Sounds Per Key
A single key can hold multiple sounds. Click "Add Another Sound" to stack additional sounds onto the same key. Use Play Modes to control how they trigger.
Removing Sounds
- Click the trash icon next to any sound in the Key Settings panel to remove it
- Click "Unbind Key" to remove all sounds from the selected key
Custom Key Names
Each key binding can have a custom display name. Edit the name field in Key Settings to label your sounds (e.g., "Applause", "Drum Roll", "Alert").
Custom Key Colors
Assign a custom accent color to any key to visually organize your soundboard. The color appears on the key tile and glows when the sound plays.
