Interface Overview
ezAudioDeck has a clean, focused layout with three main areas.
Header
The top bar contains:
- View Toggle — switch between Keyboard and Sound Grid views
- On/Off Button — toggle the entire soundboard on or off (pauses all sound triggering)
- Stop All — panic button that immediately stops every playing sound
- Settings Gear — opens the Global Settings panel on the right
Center Workspace
The main area displays either the Keyboard Layout or the Sound Grid, depending on which view is active. This is where you see your key bindings, play sounds by clicking, and interact with the soundboard.
Right Panel
The right side panel shows one of two things:
- Key Settings — when a key is selected, shows that key's bound sounds, play mode, volume, and other per-key options
- Global Settings — when the gear icon is clicked (with no key selected), shows app-wide settings like master volume, hotkey mode, profiles, and appearance
Footer
The bottom bar displays:
- About link — opens the native About dialog
- Copyright with website link
- Version number — pulled from the project settings
- Registration status — shows Registered (green), Trial days remaining (yellow), Trial expired (red), or Unregistered (gray)
