Profiles
Profiles let you maintain separate sets of key bindings and switch between them instantly.
Managing Profiles
- Create — click the "+" button in the Profiles section and enter a name
- Switch — click any profile name to activate it. Key bindings change immediately.
- Rename — click the pencil icon next to a profile name
- Delete — click the trash icon. A confirmation dialog appears. The active profile cannot be deleted if it's the only one.
What Profiles Store
Each profile independently stores:
- All key bindings (which keys map to which sounds)
- Custom audio files associated with those bindings
- Play modes and per-sound settings (volume, loop, fade, device)
What Profiles Share
These settings are global and shared across all profiles:
- Master volume
- Hotkey Mode on/off
- Global color and appearance
- Auto-run and auto-minimize preferences
- ElevenLabs API key
Export and Import
- Export Profile — saves the active profile (all bindings + embedded audio) as a
.sbp.jsonfile. Share complete sound configurations with others. - Import Profile — loads a
.sbp.jsonfile as a new profile. All audio is embedded in the file, so it works on any machine.
Use Cases
- Streaming: One profile for gaming sounds, another for podcast transitions
- Music: Different profiles for different genres or performances
- Presentations: Separate profiles for different talks or events
